Schließlich haben Kult-Bands wie ACCEPT, SODOM, KREATOR, RAGE oder BLIND GUARDIAN hier ihre Wurzeln und auch extremere NRW-Auswüchse wie MORGOTH, LEMMING PROJECT oder ETERNAL DIRGE konnten internationale Erfolge einheimsen. NRW gilt jedenfalls schon seit langem auch als Hotspot für innovativen Underground Death Metal in Deutschland. Einen guten Querschnitt aus alten Recken und heißen Newcomern möchten wir euch mit diesem Sampler vorstellen, bei dem alle 15 Bands exklusives Material bereitstellten. The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
